We have a dedicated and professional team of staff writers briging us the very best that Ethos Magazine has to offer the BL community, month after month. But who does Ethos exist to serve? That’s right: YOU. And every other lover of boys. The very purpose of our creation is to proudly serve the boylove community, to play our unique part in gradually bringing those formerly and unnecessarily taboo, controversial, and sometimes even uncomfortable elements of intergenerational same-sex relations into the mainstream of society. Are we proud to be boylovers? Absolutely, we are. Every day.
We are priviliged to be able to serve and strengthen this community of ours, in any way we can. Therefore Ethos welcomes material from boylovers all across the community. If your contribution meets our basic guidelines, we would be more than happy to consider it for publication.
Below are some guidelines on what we do — and don’t — want for Ethos. While all submissions are given fair consideration, we make no guarantees or promises that your material will be accepted for publication.
What we do want
* Boy moments and reflections
* Boy stories (real or fictional)
* Boylove outside of Western countries
* Boy toys and technology
* Boys’ memorable fads and trends over the years’
* Boylove and it’s effect on history
* Boylovers and our inflence over social improvement and contributions to humanity
* Profiles/biolgraphies/fiction/role-playing on famous boys
* Boy-related comedy and humor, whether written, photographed or illustrated
* Reviews for movies, TV shows, books and music that are boy-related or prominently feature a boy or boys
* Open messages to boys you have known and loved (or know and love)
* Boys and health/hygeine
* Boys and beauty/apperance/dressing/grooming
* Boys and althletics/sports/fitness
* Creative works (stories, lyrics, poetry, scripts, plays, monologues, skits, etc) by or about boys
* Boy related trends, fasions and styles
* Boys and their hopes and dreams for the future
* Boys at their worst and learning from the mistake
* Boys at their best and feeling like a champion
* Everything and anything that is somehow related to boylove, boylovers, boys’ interests and hobbies, and all the endless things a boy finds fascinating, interesting, and engaging.
* Everything and anything that is somehow related to the one thing WE find completely fascinating, interesting, engaging and mesmorizing: BOYS themselves
Do not worry about length. Is it long enough? Is it too long? Don’t worry. Just express yourself the best way you can. We have a department of trained staff that reviews everything, so you are in good hands.
We have a word limit of 4000 (four thousand) words per submission. Neither do we have a minimum. If the submission is over 4000 words, we have two options: split the material into one or more parts; or not use the submission at all. IF the submission does not get approved to publication, it is almost never because of the length being too extensive. We have had multi-part series published before, which have often gained large readerships.
Your submission can be as short as two paragraphs, and will still get the same amount of consideration as any other piece.
What we don’t want
We will not accept your submission if it appears to have any of — but not limited to — the following elements:
* Encourages boyovers to take stances for or against — or too forcefully pushes an agenda for or against — the pro-/anti-contact debate
* Encourages boylovers to partake in political or social movements
* Appears intended to convey a strongly religious message
* Anything or type of thing that — in any form at all — enourages illegal behavior
* Is overly erotic or salacious in nature
* Attacks a person
* Attacks a boylove board or similar type of online BL destination
* Is discriminatory towards any subset of people
* Anything that can be clearly identified as a spam or troll submission
There is a reason that we do not acccept those sorts of things. We are not and never will be a political publication, and we’re not here for anyone to advocate their religion. We do value your opinions, but we’re not a platform for your political opinions even if they are boylove-related. We’re not going to be a platform for advocoy of anything other than entertainment and information.
There is no sexual content in Ethos Magazine, so if you are looking for erotic materials, this is not the place. Not only may such a thing be considered illegal in many places, this is not the kind of publication that offers erotic or sexually-oriented content.
Ethos Magazine relies on real, actual boylovers, to provide the unique perspective that each issue gives. You do not need to be a member of any forum or group to contribute. You don’t have to join Ethos or any place or give any personal info whatsoever. If you are interested in writing for Ethos — or contributing in any other way — please first review the Disclaimer page ( https://ethos-online.net/disclaimer/ )
